Anyone have the UB, LB, Waist and Length measurements for a -12 (Concert) Taylor? TIA.

There has got to be someone around here that has the measurements. But another place you can find them is LMI. They sell those half guitar templates and I think they have the Taylor models. It is not free, but I thought I would mention that.

I have a mold I got from John Hall, I would be happy to make a tracing for you.

I also have a bracing pattern I downloaded from the Taylor web site (if you are interested). It is small and would need to be blown up to the proper size. Personally, I don't use it. I just use my standard bracing on this guitar, but it is one of my favorite body shapes.

Just let me know.

:-)

Hi Brock,

I actually downloaded the bracing pattern from Taylor too, and have everything ready to go...I got the bending form from John Hall, and was planning to use that to make my outside mold...seems I remember the LB on the Concert was 15", but want to be sure before I trim my mold halves...

Great choice Larry! I'm finishing up my first GC right now. Great shape! I got my plans from a link from Kathy Matsushita (the Wolf guitar, if that helps). Think I paid about $12 for plans about 5-6 yrs ago. Not sure of their accuracy, but PM me if you want to talk. I'll be posting pix soon. The KTM-9 came out very well on this one. (I shoot for being able to read the small print from a light bulb reflection, clearly over the entire guitar.)

Anyhow, I plan to make a bunch of these GC guitars. Here's what I've got from my templates. May not be exactly what Taylor's are, but that's irreverent. (And irrelevant!)

LB    15.25"
UB     11.5"
Waist   8.75"
Length 19.5"
cutaway diameter appears to be 4.5"

Here's a sneek peek from when I Z-poxied it. It's MUCH shinier now with the KTM-9 buffed out. Just have to wait for it to stop raining to get another outside shot.

Length = 19 7/16"
UB = 11 3/8"
W = 9"
LB = 15 1/4"

These came from the outside mold I bought from John Hall.
